Ants are sneaky in the way they can enter your home. Depending on the size and species, many can enter a home very quickly and unannounced.
Ants can be as small as a large pinhead and up to half an inch in size. Most come in shades of Black, Brown, or Red.
You will not an Ant infestation most likely near a food source such as a left out bowl of animal food, crumbs in a cabinet, or outside in your garbage.
Ants are either looking for a place to keep safe or food to eat. Many homes offer both if you have any food that is not secured. An Ant can easily be drawn and come in droves to search through an opened cereal box, for example.
Weather patterns such as extreme rain, heat, or even a blizzard may drive any Ants into your home that may have been outside.
If you have easy entrances such as small holes in the floor, a tree near a window, or even a doorway Ants can fit under, you can easily have an Ant problem.
Ants can cause problems due to the sheer size of an Ant infestation. Usually, you will not just find one or two Ants but instead you could find tens or hundreds of them continuously.
Food may become eaten as more Ants come in, causing you to have to throw out food that was once perfectly fine. Ants will also become unsightly when you start seeing many crawling on the floor or walls of your home.
Calling an Ant exterminator can ensure the source of the problem is taken care of and any entrance ways are examined to ensure Ants will not come back into your home.
