Hornets can defend their nests aggressively, especially when activity is close to entrances, walkways, play areas or work zones. Pro Action Pest Control locates the nest, evaluates access and provides professional treatment for residential and commercial properties.
You may see a paper-like nest in a tree, shrub, roofline or structure, or repeated flight through one opening. Activity often becomes more noticeable as the colony grows through the season.
We identify the insect, locate the nest and determine the safest access method. Treatment is planned around nest height, surrounding activity and whether the colony is exposed or inside a structural void.
Do not strike, spray or block an active hornet nest from close range. Vibration, lawn equipment and sudden movement can trigger defensive behavior, and elevated nests create additional fall and access hazards for property owners.
Pro Action Pest Control provides service for nests near homes, garages, sheds, landscaping, commercial entrances and outdoor work areas. After treatment, we explain whether nest removal, sealing or repairs are recommended.

Hornets often build enclosed paper nests with a single opening, while paper wasps build open combs. Species can be difficult to confirm from a distance, so avoid approaching the nest.
They are especially defensive when the nest is disturbed or approached closely. Activity can intensify as the colony becomes larger later in the warm season.
Some stinging insects use structural voids and enter through roof, soffit or siding gaps. Do not seal an active opening before the colony is treated.
Pro Action evaluates elevated nests and access conditions. Service recommendations depend on height, location, equipment needs and surrounding hazards.
